Always aiming to provoke action that produces results – through critical conversations, conscious choices and deliberate decisions, Val is an advocate of whole-life wellness that includes more healthful lifestyle choices, strengthened internal resilience, and maintaining strong, nurturing relationships.
Certified by The King Center in Atlanta, GA, one of the few in the world, Val McLeod is a Level 2 – Kingian Nonviolence Certified Trainer/Facilitator. A committed practitioner of nonviolent social justice principles and steps reinforces Val’s foundational belief in everyone’s intrinsic value and drives her unique ability to relate, reach and generate restorative results across cultural lines.
Much has contributed to shaping Val’s life work, most notably the mentorship of renown American Poet Laureate and civil rights activist, Dr. Maya Angelou
